Departure from Malaga airport. Stop and visit to Ronda. Ronda is one of the most ancient cities of Spain, a small and splendid corner of Andalusia, in the past  famous  hideout for the popular bandits of Andalusia, “ the Bandoleros”, and also mentioned in songs, sung by Christians and Muslims poets of varied eras, and loved by well-known bullfighters of the country. Ronda, whose name means “ surrounded by mountains”,   has always been  a romantic place,  and a cluster of  elements  of the Spanish’s history  of  the last  1000 years. Transfer from Malaga to Granada. Check in to Corona de Granada**** and dinner.

Breakfast in hotel. Departure for Carmen de Acosta. Carmen derives from an Arab word and means vegetable garden-garden – vineyard.  Carmen Granadini, (type of houses of Granada),  are built on terraces , and  often offer a  beautiful view over Alhambra and Sierra Nevada. Afterwards, visit to Carmen de los Martires, which features different styles of gardens from the  Islamic  to   romantic. Transfer for  Cuesta del Chapiz, towards  Albaicin up to  Saint Nicola’s Belvedere either on foot or by small buses  which go around the old part of the city, ( Cuesta del Garro, one of the most suggestive places of Granada, is a location with some important landmarks such as   Patio nazarì, Palacio de los Condes de Arco with patio, El Banuelo, Arab toilets of the XI century, and Saint Catalina de Zafra’s convent). At the end of the visit, free time for a walk and then lunch. Next visit to Alhambra, Generalife’s gardens, and Del Partàl’s gardens.

Conceived as a military fortress, Alhambra dominates Granada, and was built between 1090 and 1492, capital of North Africa Islamic dynasties such as the Almoravid e Almohad.  The complex surrounded by walls, includes beautiful palaces that confirm the good taste of both Nasrid kings and Carlo V, who ordered to build the beautiful Italian renaissance palace.  The summer residence  GeneralLife, features enchanting terraced gardens, in which the water is the prime element, flowing into canals or gushing from fountains.  From a botanical and hydraulic point of view, Partals’ gardens are also really interesting.  Dinner in a typical restaurant. Return to the hotel.

Breakfast in hotel and check out. Departure for Cordoba. Visit to Alcàzar de los Reyes Cristianos gardens, built by Alfonso XI above an ancient caliphate fortress that in turn was erected on roman ruins. It used to be the residence of the Christians kings during the clash with the Muslims.  From the high walls that run along Alcazar’s gardens, with fountains, pools, and plants, it   is possible to see Guadalquivir. Departure for Mezquita. The mosque-cathedral of Coroba, one of the most important monuments of Spain, is the second biggest Mosque in the world after the Mecca. It is a tangible symbol of the grandeur of the capital Al-Andalus, (land of vandals), from the VII century to the beginning of IX century. We then reach Patio de Los Naranjos.  In the ancient ablution courtyard, almost an orange wood, there are fountains in Mudejar style. Time for a walk and lunch.  In the afternoon guided tour of Medina-Azahara. It was built to become the capital of a new Caliphate province of Cordova, but after being plundered, the Villa-palace was known as Cordova Vecchia. The caliph Adb-al-Rahman III was a great patron who made his lands the most flourishing of the west, comparing only to those of Bagdad and Byzantium. Medina Azahara features an almost square land which extends over terraces separated by walls, dividing the city into three parts. The Palace is located on the upper part of the land, the middle terrace includes vegetable gardens and gardens, and the mosque and houses are located on the lower terrace. Check in to Macia Alfaros ****.Dinner in hotel. After dinner if you like you can have a nice stroll in the old town centre of Cordoba.

Breakfast in hotel and check out. Departure for Carmona and Stop at the private estate La Buzona near Carmona. This is an example of a closed courtyard dwelling. It features a beautiful patio, a garden and a view over an area of many hectares full of olive trees. During the centuries the Mediterranean tree replaced in part an oak tree, true Queen of Andalusia countryside.

Light lunch in the estate together with the owner Doña Magdalena Valdenebro Halcon. Visit to Finca Moratalla, private estate that is located in the Hornachuelos Sierra, crossed by rivers and streams and rich in greenery. The entrance of the garden, in part designed by Forestier, is in the central boulevard as in French castles. Inside there are fountains, lakes, high bananas trees which cover most of the garden’s land, featuring 150 different botanical varieties. Transfer to Cordova. Check in to Hotel Alfaros****.
