Arrival in Pistoia to visit Oscar Tintori’s Nurseries. The Firm, owned by the same family for three generations, has been able to select and nurture the plants, thanks to their love, and enthusiasm.
The Ornamental Citrus are requested not only in Italy, but all over the world, and anyone who comes here, even for simple curiosity to visit Tintori greenhouses, has always shown surprise for the vitality of these plants. Citrus tree are not purchased as common seasonal flowers, but as plants to be loved, cured, and maintained over the time. They need some special attention in order to grow properly.

Arrival in Perugia in the afternoon, and check to Hotel Rosetta ****, located in one of the main squares of the old town center.

Departure for Spello .
Visit to Villa Fidelia , also known as Villa Costanzi, which preserves traits of the pre-existining sacred complex, dating back to the classic period. Built between 1805 and 1830, for many experts, it was designed by Giuseppe Piermarini. Villa Fidelia is surrounded by a park which features Italian gardens, located on the slopes of Subasio Mluntain, and a baroque garden. Elms, Oaks, and Olive trees surround the gardens: There is also a church and an orangery designed as an area for housing exhibitions and conferences. Later on visit to Spello, which retains the traits of the Roman era such as the city walls, the remains of the theater, the amphitheater, the thermal baths and the main gates of the city. Visit to Saint Maria Maggiore’s church built between the XII and XIII century. It houses the wonderful Baglioni Chapel painted by Pinturicchio, who also produced images of the Annunciation, the Nativity and the Dispute of the Temple. Other works of the painter can be found at the chapel of Crociera. Stop at Saint Andrew’s Church, which preserves another famous work by Pinturicchio ( “Tavoli, Madonna and Santi” Tables, Virgin Mary and Saints), and the Town Hall located in Repubblica Square which has a wonderful colonnade. Time for lunch (not included).
In the afternoon, transfer to Bevagna and guided tour of the old town center, included Silvestri Square, and the two Romanesque jewels: Saint Silvestro’s Church, and Saint Michele Arcangelo’ s Church.
At the end of the visit, return to Perugia, and dinner.

In the morning, transfer to Cortona for a guided tour of the Reinhard Garden. The project Reinhard focus on teaching a new way of understanding the garden, and the art of gardening, not only for the experts but also for other people. At the moment only three gardens that are part of the project are open: “Tropical Garden”, “Garden with herbaceous and grasses”, and “Garden under olive trees.”
In late morning transfer to Sant ‘Arcangelo sul Trasimeno to visit Mrs Fe D’ ostiaini’s decorative garden with a beautiful view of Lake Trasimeno.
Lunch included in the company of the owner.
In the early afternoon, departure for Polvese Island by boat .
Guided tour of the island with a stop at a characteristic work of Porcinai, which is a particular example of a garden-swimming pool.
On the way back to Perugia, stop in Solomeo, the characteristic village, famous for the production of cashmere .
Arrival in Perugia in the evening, and dinner at the restaurant “L altro Mondo” located in the old town center.
Breakfast in Hotel and departure for Spoleto .
Guided tour of Spoleto, strategically positioned on the old Flaminia route: the city is famous for classic music, its festival, the fortress, the bridge of Torri, and the Cathedral.
Transfer to Todi. Free time for lunch (not included).
it is known as the city of Jacopone. Not to miss People Square and the Cathedral.
We may also visit Villa Lizza.
Back to Perugia, dinner in Hotel.

The Medieval Vegetable-Garden of Perugia is located in Borgo XX Giugno inside the ancient Benedictine Saint Pietro’ complex , which nowadays is also the seat of the Faculty of Agriculture of Perugia University. The medieval garden presents the characteristic of a garden of the past, where the uninterrupted presence of water was a feature, ( kind of rule), of a Benedictine complex.
